"healthy peanut butter" didn't have to be stired.

I mean really it is absolutely disgusting! I practically gag when I stir it up. if I had my way the kids would always have Jiff, because I'm a choosy mom! However, Tim insists on the Organic peanut butter from Costco (even though he doesn't eat it). He says that "in Jiff they take out the peanut oil that you are stirring and inject hydrogenated vegetable oil, that's disgusting". Whatever, I guess it's a good thing because it makes me not want to eat peanut butter, and I LOVE Jiff peanut butter- just as long as I am not around someone else who is eating it, weird I know. But the kids haven't had Peanut butter until last night for almost three weeks. Wanna know why? Because they had finished one about a month ago and I didn't want to stir up the new one! A month, and three weeks you say? They don't add up you say? Yes I know. I had used the Jiff that resides in the cupboard next door at my parents house before spring break to finish out the school lunches.

Yes, we live next door to my parents and my Husband is an angel for staying sane! No, it's not bad at all and hey when I run out of the peanut butter and want to avoid stirring the new one there is always somewhere I can go where it's not weird. I mean let's be honest walking over to a neighbors five days (a school week) in a row asking to use their peanut butter would be odd after the first day. But, not at my parents! I just say "I really didn't want to stir it up again this morning, can I use the bad stuff?

Any-whoo I still haven't made up for my blog that I missed. Maybe today? Hopefully. But we do have the little dudes baseball game- I have snack and have to work in the snack bar ugh! Fingers crossed though!

these didn't have time stamps,

I could pretend I was witting this last night.

Blast! So yeah Tuesday- nothing too exciting. Running too and fro. Got tired-fell asleep whoops!

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

I didn't fall asleep during the laker game last night,

I would have kept up on my blog! Blast I don't know why but if we watch a late Laker game I ALWAYS fall asleep. It's not that I'm not interested in the outcome or that it is not exciting. I am just too dang tired. Perhaps if the hubby didn't insist on "building up a buffer" on the Tivo I might have a chance. No, it is unfair to blame him for not liking commercials.

So, Mondays. Those are always hard. Of course I set out with the best of intentions. I had work, the gym, I tutored, had pick up duty from CCD for the boys and gosh darn it I was going to serve left over Pizza to make a girl's Monday easier. So most of that worked out. Except for the little one getting a 105 fever during the tutoring and before the CCD pick up. Ack! Poor baby. We kept checking her temp and after she had Tylenol it started to go down, and by bed time it was just 100. Needless to say-not a restful night with a 1 1/2 year old waking up at least 10 times. Left over pizza went to the kids (well Joe really since Sophie wasn't too hungry), but Tim insisted on "saving Chuck" and getting $5 foot longs from subway. Still not too bad, no need to cook (awesome!). He also picked up the boys for me, what a love!

Well I thought I was going to get some crocheting done during the game but we watched Chuck while we ate half of our foot longs each (lunch today), then two episodes of In Treatment. Um, I have to pay attention to shows like that so no crafting got done. And as I said earlier, by the time the Lakers got put on our TV I was tired, really tired. This would have been prime crafting time but oh well. I also was so tired and pre-occupied I forgot to blog. That is really funny coming from me but I want to keep this updated on weekdays at least! So today there must be two! Thank goodness it is STAR testing day and I don't go into work until 11:30. Anyway that was our Monday!

See ya late dudes!

I had a tinsey bit more energy on a friday,

I may have taken more advantage of being alone since 7pm.

So, the hubby is gone on his annual, male family bonding, opening day fishing trip (mind you I don't know how many actually fish on any other weekend of the year but I digress), the kids are in bed, and me--I'm watching a show I don't really even like while sort of cleaning the kitchen and switching laundry so I have sheets to sleep on tonight. Pathetic I know. Of course there were these plans to mop the floors and bleach clean the downstairs bathroom as well as the kitchen but I doubt that's going to happen at this point. Ah well at least all of the laundry got done for the week, the camping stuff put away and floors vacuumed. What? The hampers are full again? This is ridiculous!!!

I'm going to turn in as soon as this show is over and the sheets are on the bed because I have to be at the baseball fields for the little guys game at 7:30 am. That would be IN THE MORNING. Insanity I tell you, pure insanity!

There is always tomorrow to get more productive...

everyone's significat other made them listen to NPR,

...then they would know what I'm talking about here.

So my husband and I were listening to NPR-as we almost always do when he is in the car- and there was a segment of "this is just to say poems". They were quite funny "non"apologies based on:
This Is Just To Say
by William Carlos Williams

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

He wrote one and thought he was quite clever. So I was procrastinating my household duties ,to then later of course complain about there not being enough time in the day, as per usual and decided to "write" my own poem to him. I emailed it to him today and he quite enjoyed it. Though I don't know how much he will still enjoy it when he finds all of the laundry sitting on the bed-folded- and me asking for help to put it all away. Any-who here it is:

This is just to say

I still haven’t
put the laundry
away that is
in the basket

which you
were probably searching
through for socks
this morning.

Forgive me,
the couch and
computer were so inviting
and the weather so glum.

Let it be know that I am no poet! Also, the laundry is no longer in the basket (woo hoo!) but folded and waiting for hangers and to be put into its home.

...there was more time in the day.

Then perhaps: all of the laundry could get done; the house could always be clean; I could actually work on my scrapbooks; I could organize all of my things to scrapbook; I could experiment with baking different things and making them look really pretty; I could figure out how to do a different crochet stitch and maybe attempt a blanket; I could cook awesome meals instead of good quick ones.

Then again maybe I just need better motivation. I mean perhaps I should just quit my whining and make it happen. Let's see... laundry is in the wash (but there is still the issue of folding and hanging and putting away...yuck), the camping stuff is finding its place again, The scrapbooks will just have to be scheduled or the will never happen, same with the baking, hopefully my grandmother can teach me a new stitch tomorrow and as fore the awesome meals...ha! Maybe one a month (we wouldn't want to be too ambitious now).

So let's see, I need to schedule some work time. Ok, I can do that. By the end of next week, being Friday May 1st I will have baked something that I have never baked before (maybe not super pretty or anything, but you know, baby steps) and have posted a picture-fingers crossed) of how it turned out. I'll have to think about the scrapbooks later. I mean come on, the laundry is ready to be changed and I have to keep up with this whole there really is enough time in the day for everything attitude I'm going to try.

Wish me luck!

If only...

If only I could eat my words about how I would never start a blog, Tim might never make fun of me.

Alas, that is not possible so I am here to start by apologizing to all of the "bloggers" (sheesh that's a weird word) who have no idea how much I have made fun of. Okay so made fun of may be a bit harsh but I certainly scoffed...quite often. I am also here to ask you to bear with me (if there is actually anyone ever reading any of this), my spelling and grammar are not great and I rarely have anything profound to say.

So, with that out of the way I hope to use this as a vehicle to be productive. Ha! You may say this is a bit late for a New Year's resolution but still maybe I will finish some projects if I feel like I can post pictures of them and what not.

Let the games begin, and hopefully I won't having you say "if only I never wasted my time with this blog"!
